Anjani Maher is currently a third-year dental student at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Her passion for dentistry was inspired early on by her mother, a dedicated and compassionate dental assistant who first introduced her to the field. That early exposure grew into a deep appreciation for the artistic precision, attention to detail, and patient-centered nature of dental care.
Over the past two years, Anjani has immersed herself in the study of biomedical sciences, gaining a strong foundation in holistic patient care that looks beyond the oral cavity. She has also honed her technical skills in the simulation lab and through peer-based practice, preparing her for the transition into clinical care.
With her White Coat Ceremony marking a pivotal milestone—the halfway point to her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree—Anjani now enters the Patient Treatment Center, where she will begin caring for real patients and applying her knowledge and skills in a clinical setting. She is especially passionate about connecting with patients, listening to their stories, and providing care rooted in dignity, compassion, and trust—values that are central to her identity as a future dentist.
Anjani expresses heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported her on this journey, especially her parents, Harish and Hira Maher (Rajshaka), whose love, encouragement, and sacrifices have played a profound role in shaping the person and professional she is becoming.
